Carol Jackson
Carol was born and educated in New Zealand but  moved to London at the age of 20. Here she worked within sight of the National Gallery where her love affair with watercolours was kindled after seeing a painting by Russell Flint. Returning to Australia her formal art education was repeatedly interupted by tours of duty in PNG and the Solomons. She started painting seriously when she moved to SA and studied with Arthur Phillips and Roe Gartelmann. She has also undertaken workshops with many well know Australian artists.
She is a member of the Stationmaster's Gallery in Strathalbyn and of the Pastel Artists of SA. She has been awarded many prizes at local art shows, particularly the Noarlunga Rotary Art Show where she has twice won first prize.  She particularly enjoys going on painting trips with friends to locations both in Australia and overseas..
